HM Showcase

The HM Showcase is an entertaining self promotion project that was inspired by a rock magazine and a Christian version of the MTV cable network. The HM (ie. Hard Music) Showcase presents information and audio clips of six rock bands in a fun and entertaining matter.

Although Flash technology was used for the navigation and interactive elements of the project, the HM Showcase was really a platform to demonstrate my knowledge of motion graphics to potential employers and clients.

After capturing and editing the raw video, I combined the powers of both Flash and After Effects to create the complex, multi-layered video sequences used throughout the project. Heavy use of effects, blending modes, and additional video footage was used extensively in order to achieve the modern look I was shooting for.

Overall, I believe this creative experiment clearly demonstrates what I can do in the motion graphics arena. Mission accomplished.
